On Saturday, 8th of March, 2017, in the mini football tournament of the universities of Kurdistan region, the team of the University of Zakho played the final match with the team of the University of Koya.
It is worth mentioning that the two teams played very well in the final match and the team of the University of Koya won against the team of the University of Zakho by the score 2-1. The team of the University of Koya became the champions of the mini football tournament and the team of the University of Zakho achieved the second place at the tournament.
At the ceremony, the player of the University of Zakho, Delir Tayar was chosen the best player of the tournament for his outstanding activity in the tournament.
